IMO it is a reasonable analysis despite what your feelings are about sample size. It is complete with regression analysis, etc. If anything, garbage minutes played will diminish the results, not enhance them.
The post about Jeter from Sacramento is interesting. Lin probably won't get any minutes, but watch to see if he could have matched Jeter.
i'm not too crazy about him going to sac but anywhere is better than here. would be interesting if washington pitches a deal for him since they are looking a point guard to back up john wall. imagine that. they tank this season to develop two point guards in the same class. wall will have his hands full in practice :) me and my wishful thinking. lol
interesting stats all around. i hear lacob is a stats man himself. and also the warrior's co-owner, Vivek Ranadive who will be using his software company to aid in personnel decisions.

Law having his first legit good game. Of course, Lin could play (and has played) that well if Smart gave him that kind of steady burn. Law gets big minutes no matter what -- Lin gets punished for one mistake. And for not being Smart's BFF.
lin got minutes.. on the road. and against teams like the lakers, spurs and thunders.. in garbage time. but i'm happy for udoh. he got to play solid minutes in the 1st quarter after logging in a total of just 8 minuts. good for him for making the most of it. law on the other hand doen't deserve minutes after sucking his whole career. he immediately gets solid minutes upon signing and playing against mediocre teams who are on a back-t-back game and not to mention at on the home floor. i'm not complaing though, it's all just coincidence. right?
lin in when the warriors take the lead. great offensive rebound and look to monta for 3. he keeps finding himself with open looks down low but understandably tentative amongst the trees. but who cares, dubs take the lead and lin is one of the catalysts!
stupid move by smart. rockets on a 9-2 run. they are attacking the lane without udoh defending the middle and lin preventing drives. horrible move smart.
this has to be a lesson to coach smart. you can't deny the level of d when lin is in - it's happened in the majority of games he's been in...he blocks out, challenges the wing jumpers, and hassles the point on drives. jim barnett just said "stick a fork in them, they're done" dubs down 7 and game over...
Even after Udoh and Lin OWNED Smart's pea-brain tonight, Riley and Smart will probably send JL to D-League anyway. Lacob needs to get deus ex machina on their asses and lay down the law (and I ain't talkin' Acie).
Took the time to check out

oh and gumby is out too. point guards are already so scarce as it is. next year's pool will be even worst. jlin is hot commodity!

ReplyDeleteWow, who knew? The best combination is Ellis, Lin, and Law playing together.
ReplyDeletelin redeems his confidence with a nice drive baseline and finish against jordan hill! warriors maintaining lead with 5 to go...
ReplyDeletelin filling up all the stats again except no turnovers. does anyone notice when he is in the game everybody's defense intensifies?
ReplyDeletewhat the hell? taking jeremy and udoh out??? now we lose 5 quick points
ReplyDeletesmart calls a time out at 5minutes left and pulls lin. oh well, just glad to see him play well tonight. dubs tanking now.
