my prediction: dubs go down by 15 early. then tries to battle sun's 2nd unit all the way to the end. lin enters at the 2 min mark in the 4th, and makes some bad plays. probably will try a jumper or 2.
Jeremy LIN SUCKS! Wake up people and smell the coffee. Quit lying to yourself and get your hopes up for nothing and waste away your life time. This guy will be lucky he is still in the league at the end of next year.
I actually think JL will get some major minutes. Suns play fast and neither Nash nor Dragic is especially fast/strong (Lin is a lot like Dragic). Watch for JL to get 10-15 minutes unless Curry is scorching hot from the field.
Not really. Curry had a "monster" game last time -- Warriors got crushed anyway. Happens all the time. Warriors have nothing to lose to see if someone who plays D can find his offense (Lin, Adrien, and eventually Amundson and Udoh).
is lin no longer in the rotation? what is going on? charlie bell just got in the game and he is a far inferior choice to j. he made good progress right up until the memphis game. wonder what happened
Barring an big injury to Curry and an Injury to charlie bell.
Jeremy probably won't get more than a minute or two of garbage time every five or so games.
Smart doesn't have anything faith in Jeremy, no matter how much potential he displays because Smart and Jeremy have nothing in common. Smart doesn't like the idea of this Harvard guy from SoCal possibly showing up the Currys and John Walls of the NBA. So hes going to make sure that there isn't a opportunity for that to happen by giving Jeremy any real Playing time.
As long a Smart is the coach Jeremy isn't going to play that much from here on out.
i missed the memphis game where he got blocked multiple times. honest take on his performance there? was the last time he got some tick, no?
you have to wonder if this stretch of really tough games for the dubs presents good matchups for j. but at the same time, dubs likely in losing battles more often than not and your alternative, charlie bell, is terrible, and hence j should see at least the same time he had vs. houston...at least that's what you'd expect.
smart got really lucky with the easy early schedule which he capitalized on. if it wasn't for that, he would probably be fired by now. what a horrible coach. so what if he doesn't play lin. the problem is he doesn't have any clues about how to get his team to play defense. he has 3 big time players.. there is no excuse
9:04 - agree the team looks really flat lately. losing dlee was huge clearly going 1-7 without him and energy-wise they just look hungover with no chemistry. what happened to all the love?
lin won't see any minutes while dubs are playing catch up. they will keep shooting but fail because what they really need is defense to get them back into the game. smart doesn't believe in defensive.
lin immediately energizes crowd and plays stiff d, bother jrich on a drive, playing tight on steve nash. dubs down 3, timeout. hope he can relax and just play his game, change tempo
No more comments? He returned in the 4th to spell an injured stef curry. J Lin makes great defensive plays on a team that does not play much defense. He needs to play with more alacrity on offense. I want him to make harder cuts and quicker jaunts around the court. He plays a bit slow on offense, and with more quickness on defense, he'd be even better, but not sure if he can be even quicker and not foul people all the time.
Ooookay...JLin got schooled hella hard by Nash the whole time he even stepped on the court. I'm Asian and I'd like to see him do well but I'd rather see Warriors win. GTFO Lin. Less guards and get Monta some real help.
my prediction on JLin's stats tonight:
ReplyDeleteMIN, FGM-A, 3PM-A, FTM-A, OFF-DEF-REB, AST, STL, BLK, TO, PF, PTS
6,1-3,0-1,1-2, 0-1-1, 1, 1, 0, 2, 2, 3

ReplyDeleteDragic is a much better shooter (though he wasn't always that good), but JL is a much better defender.
ReplyDeleteJeremy Lin is decent for a rookie. His career development will depend on how much does he WANT to be in the NBA for the long hall.
ReplyDeleteLin's best chance to get minutes is Curry getting into early foul trouble. I secretly cheer for Curry fouls. Is that wrong?
ReplyDeleteNot really. Curry had a "monster" game last time -- Warriors got crushed anyway. Happens all the time. Warriors have nothing to lose to see if someone who plays D can find his offense (Lin, Adrien, and eventually Amundson and Udoh).
ReplyDeleteLin needs to stop sulking on the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen him clap once for Stephen or Ellis even on great plays where the rest of the team is on its feet.
Its becoming obvious and he needs to cut it out.

ReplyDeleteSmart never wanted to play him in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHe had to early on because of all the media and hype.
Down that the media has kinda waned off, hes just going to play people who he has stuff in common with basketball wise.
hey 8:41 PM, you're an idiot
ReplyDeleteYou can just tell by looking at Smart that hes the "angry" type of coach.

ReplyDeleteIn all fairness, in the Memphis game Lin got fouled hard twice where there was a no call, where even the Memphis play by play guys called BS.
ReplyDeleteOnly one block was ligitmate.
If one is honest the only time Jeremy really has done something "bad" in any of his PT was when he missed those 3 free throws.
I think those were the first FTs he missed all season. But it gave Smart the excuse he needed to not play him since.

ReplyDeleteLin is in!

ReplyDeleteand out of the timeout, curry comes in for him...end of 4th
ReplyDeleteJeremy lin needs to go back to China where he is from.. Yes. I said China... get over it people..
ReplyDeleteDecember 2, 2010 9:57 PM
ReplyDeletewhere are u from then?
jeremy lin sucks he needs 2 go back to the bay area where he is from
ReplyDeletehe *is* back to where he is from the bay area and plays for his hometown team :)

ReplyDeletenash schooled everyone, and had 15+ assists, mostly against curry. did you conveniently overlook that fact?
what's with these mental midget posters with terrible basketball IQs?
