Christmas Wish List for Jeremy

Here is my wish list for Jeremy:

#1 - Be quicker bringing the ball up and getting into sets. This can add 2-3 seconds at the end of the shot clock for the team.
#2 - Keep weight training during the season to add quickness and strength. All the greats loved to hit the weight room. MJ, Kobe, Wade.
#3 - Gain confidence to take open shots. This will come with playing time and shooting 500 shots a day.
#4 - Drive and dish. Jeremy is able to get to the basket. If he can find the big men to finish, this will open the lane up for him.
#5 - Be creative around the basket. Sometimes use a floater, sometimes keep going all the way through if the defense is protecting the basket. Throw in a pull up jumper.
#6 - Have fun! You are living your dream playing in the NBA.
#7 - At least 10 minutes of playing time on Christmas Day on ESPN.

Merry Christmas to the Lin family and all of Jeremy's fans!

  2. you are a true full-hearted fan of JLin. Really happy to see JLin has supporters like JLinfan#1 !

  3. #8 If you get sent to the D-League, take it as as another oppurtunity to show what you can do...not only to the Warriors, but to all the NBA scouts watching!

  4. #9 That you play for a coach and GM that gives you a legit chance to shine. You can always come back to Golden State later.

  5. #7 is not coming true. surprised lin is still on the team.

  6. Lin is still on because Lacob knows Acie Law sucks. Seriously, Law was -9 in less than five minutes in a game the Warriors won. LOL. No one else was worse than -3.

But Lacob also knows that you can't undermine your coach and GM (no matter how crappy they are). If you do, no one will want the job after you get rid of them. Like I said elsewhere, I honestly think Lacob is leaving the decision up to Lin. "Do you wanna gut it out on the bench? Or get 30mpg in D-League? Your call."

The fact that Lin was still active tonight also supports my theory.

  7. Jeremy Lin needs playing time on the court. That's about all. He will develop his game, his passing, and his jumpshot. But he needs to play in order to become better.

  8. Awww...after the game was over, fellow rookies Luke Babbitt and Armon Johnson came over to Jeremy and they all had their arms on each other's shoulders while walking to the locker room. It was a Jeremy Lin sandwich. All three rookies had DNPs. :(

jlin is gonna be on csn warriors weekly tonight at 630pm http://twitter.com/warriors

  13. It's good that JL is appearing on all these Warrior talk shows. Harder for Riley & Smart to send him to D-League if he keeps a high-profile.

Only thing Acie Law is good for is dribbling the ball over the half court line. The guy he is guarding always blows by him easily.

Hope Lin gets traded to a real team.

  16. It will be interesting to see how Acie Law does now that Curry is back. One reason JLin had limited opportunities is there wasn't enough minutes and only one basketball. If Law's stats go flat, it will be telling.

Hopefully Jeremy gets an opportunity in D-League because Aaron Miles is doing well. Sometime in January the W's have an option to waive his contract. I agree that isn't the worst scenario in the world although the money would still be useful to him since he paid his own way through school.

  17. It's official. Jeremy to D-League.

  18. Lin SHOULD go to CHINA, good contract, no barriers, GOOD money, ( everyone will look for him on ads, let alone them potential sponsors-educational products industry--thats a billion dollar business), WHY NOT?

yes, only 20% of all the foreign players survived, but once they survived, thrived! good money and again, good money off the court, WHY NOT!

Again, this is a big deal for Chinese, hard for us to think the situation.

    But it is true!

Well, so much competition here, even in the future Lin will never get 20 mins per game when, thats if he could, back to NBA, but the whole entire career just like this, you walk on the blade of the sword and you have to worry about next game; will he ever enjoy his career or life at all? No! so why waste ones life living in worries and fears instead and go and play while making decent money and enjoying the fame, not the 15 mins of fame, but a life long sense of fulfillment?

    Lin, think about CBA!
As far as money goes, it is CBA, not NBA, we talked about some decent money and the endorsements--it is literally unlimited!

If he signs today, I will be able to secure an endorsement right away for him! My friend's jeans factory needs a familiar face and a good representation, well, Lin is the guy!

Lin is working extremely hard in the NBA (and throughout his basketball career) because this is his dream. Anyone growing up in the US with a goal to play professional basketball dreams to play in the NBA, and Jeremy is livin' it up.

There is so much more than just money, playing time, and having it easy.

Plus, he's not really failing in the NBA either. A matter of fact, despite his struggling to get playing time right now, he is on the right track, regardless of staying on the bench or going to the D-league, because he's working just as hard as anyone else in order to improve and achieve. I do not see any point of abandoning all these just for the money and fame in China.

Lin's been proving the critics wrong his whole life, I don't see why playing in the NBA regularly would be an exception.

  20. I was looking forward to seeing JLin play in orl on jan 3rd...but I guess that's not likely with the D-League assignment. Just like JLin said, "It’s not the end of the world, and I can learn and grow a lot as a player." (Via Rusty's twitter) JLin has been the underdog all his life and fighting his way to the top. The D-League will be no different. I'll support him all the way to the end. Plus, JLin was never in it for the money. He wants to work in non-profit and become a pastor. He's playing basketball because it's his dream and he has a passion for it.

Ps. where's the admin and the new threads? Don't tell me he gave up on JLin..

  21. Bad news? JL is getting sent to D-League with frickin' Acie Law as the backup.

Good news? JL is getting sent to D-League with frickin' Acie Law as the backup.

He'll be back in a month or two and earn the backup PG role for good.

  22. I'm fine with Lin to dleague. Acie Law still has to go cause he is not good at basketball.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If Lin misses a layup like Law did, he will sit right down and they will say he's not ready for the NBA. Wazzup wit dat?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Acie Law just got pin-blocked, LOL. Why is Lin is going to D-League again? I guess he doesn't "look like" an NBA player to Smart and Riley.

  25. If the warrirs do release Jlin.. Lakers and other team will sign him.. I know he can play and his defense is good.. I think the lakers need a point guard like Jlin.. fisher, blake, brown cant guard quicker guards and their getting up in ages .. I hope the warrior do release Jlin.. come to LA. bynum at center,, ebank and caracter, and gasol.. big guys he can throw the bal too..

Jlin can play..he just need more playing time.. without Jlin i aint watching the warriors anymore.. warriors plays no defense.., scores all u want but without defense u wont go far..

    ReplyDelete
  26. Agree that Law is ineffective. Give Lin a month and he will return.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Think I'll take a ride up to Reno. The good thing is I'll be able to see #7 play.

    ReplyDelete
  28. i don't think i will ever buy another warriors ticket anymore. with management like this who needs opponents to bet you?

    ReplyDelete
  29. He will only be in the d-league for 2 weeks?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi, did you hear the comments on the TV as Acie passed the ball at the end of the game?

This guy is ineffective and even the commentator said Acie should NOT make that move at that time at all.

Well, I guess K-Love has the ball, and he is playing with it favor.

Well, good luck J. and go to China and enjoy the crowd and the PRIME TIME!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Law will continue to put up mediocre numbers for the coming month. The Warriors will have a winning percentage around .300 Lin will rock in Reno and be back in February. He will finish the year, have an excellent second year, then like Arenas, he will leave for a big contract somewhere else.
