5 Game Road Trip Begins - Will JLin Play?

It looks like the Warriors are building something special here. This road trip is a great opportunity to continue there ways with 5 winnable games.

With two back to backs on this 5 game trip, it would seem to be a good opportunity for Jeremy as well. Let us see if he's even activated tonight against Detroit.

  1. oh c'mon Smart. Charlie Bell? you gotta be kidding me

  2. Bell is an undersized pg that gives you nothing but mediocre scoring and defense and he's not scoring

  3. I can only hope JL will get angry and play tough when he finally gets in. Watching proven scrubs get so much time (while seldom adding anything) and a half-healthy Curry chuck up shots and play no D has to p*ss him off deep down.

  4. jlin may be starting a bald spot ...

  5. Curry 2-8 with 4 fouls midway in the 3rd.
And Reggie Williams (off-night so far in 9 minutes) comes in to play point.

    Come. On.

  6. everytime the bell or williams gets subbed in they lose points in a hurry. they need to play some serious D

  7. Pistons take the lead. Warriors making a LOT of dumb TOs on in bounds and at midcourt. No floor leadership whatsoever.

    Still no Lin...

  8. Smart won't put him in when they're trailing this close. They shoulda put him in the 3rd quarter or earlier as soon as they got all these TO's.

  9. The 5 jlin PT looks...

    1) warriors down big. jlin looks good and gains confidence if he performs well and, if he performs poorly it doesn't matter in the loss column...

    2) back to back night, particularly after a win, particularly on road trip, regardless of score.

    3) cbell and reggie completely start tanking
    at the same time.

    4) up huge.

    5) warriors play friendly in Taiwan.

  10. take it back, Monta not much of a playmaker and is pretty bad with D

  11. Haha, nice summary. Although #3 ain't true (they tanked in the first half and it didn't make a difference). And Smart would play Monta and Curry 48 minutes even in Taiwan...if they're healthy.

  12. Warriors lose. Serves 'em right.

Curry was clearly injured or he had an off-off-night. Either way, he should not have played that much against a bulkier Stuckey who killed the Ws.

Turnovers in the open floor and messy, lifeless offensive sets killed them. Too bad they don't have a bigger, healthier energy guy off the bench to play point...oh wait.

  13. changed that to "prolonged tanking"

prolonged tanking defined as tankage longer than 5 consecutive games.

"And Smart would play Monta and Curry 48 minutes even in Taiwan...if they're healthy."

you are right. jlin would be sent out to
Tapei Wing Stop to have food ready for post game feed.

  14. Ha! Just for the record, no one's saying Lin should take a healthy Curry's minutes. Or Bell or Reggie's (at point) if those guys are killing it. He's just a rookie after all.

But Curry's not 100%. Bell is doing nothing. Reggie can score but not run the offense or defend. And yet nothing for Lin. There was a great time in the 3rd to put him in (up 9, Curry in foul trouble). Smart is the one "playing scared."

  15. Ahh Lin glued to the bench. What a waste, especially when they needed his tempo. Don't worry guys. Maybe tomorrow.

  16. the team needs a guard who can 1) defend, 2) control the tempo, 3) be the general, and 4) get the bigs involved by making good passes to the lowpost players.

don't get me wrong, i like curry, monta and for an extent, williams but they all pretty much play the same style. it's just too predictable when you sub williams in for either curry or monta. a 2 dimensional team

  17. how do you make a jlin sandwich?

put jlin in the middle of two coaches.

can we get another seat for jlin? i mean seriously i know he needs to be coached up and all (and I scoff at most of that notion) but does he have to sit between two coaches EVERY GAME??? I mean are they programming him? It's like they think he's never seen a basketball game and they found him in a tropical rainforest wearing a banana hammock and dunking cocos through tree limbs.

  18. lol. he seems nervous on sitting there on the bench. they should play him some to cure that.

Thanks for the asiancaucasian. That actually made me laugh out loud. The fact even if they underestimate him, they wouldn't be doing this unless they want him to player serious minutes in the near future. It's no secret Ellis (and maybe Curry now that Ellis has gotten better on D) may be traded for a star SF or C.

  20. Jeremy's game is most similar to which nba or college player?

    ReplyDelete
  21. So he's allowed to play against the Lakers but not the Pistons

  22. Boy, I check Yahoo Sports everytime the Warriors play just to see if JLin had any minutes. This is coming from a JLin fan in Dallas. :) Never followed the Warriors before, but since JLin made it on the team, I've been follwoing the Warriors. However, it's disappointing when the box score shows a "DNP" for JLin like tonight.

Perhaps in time that will change...let's keep up the hope. If JLin is skilled as we all believe, it will only be a matter of time. So hang on tight folks.

  23. cmon cmon cmon from your boi in mn. :)

  24. Guys, Carmelo Anthony is coming to town soon. And you guessed it, Monta will be playing with Billups in Denver. Williams will play his natural position as a starting sg. Lin will backup Curry. Dorrell will back up Melo. And Udoh will backup Lee. Coach might play small at times which means, we will see Curry and Lin in the backcourt. The center spot will remain weak but that will be addressed next season.

  25. Jeremy Lin is getting the Sun Yue treatment, who also sat next to coaches when on the active roster. They are probably trying to breakdown the game and plays for Jeremy Lin and probably will expect him to show what he can do when he gets major PT when the D-League season starts.

lol @ the Taipei Wingstop comment. Anyone know if Jeremy has to make stops to In-N-Out as well?
