Jeremy Lin Is Active!

  1. I would say this is just to please Asians on Heritage Night, but Adrien was active yesterday despite no Yao (i.e. don't need an extra big man). So Smart didn't make the "logical" move last night either. Suspicious but whatever. Go JL -- show 'em why they gotta play you (for b-ball not PR reasons!).

That is, if they give him any minutes tonight.

  2. Close game so far so unless there's a blowout in the second half I don't see Lin playing.

  3. 1) Turning into a blowout.
    2) Curry just went down with another ankle tweak (but luckily, he walked off on his own).

JL could get his chance soon...

  4. Why is Jeremy sitting between coaches and not with the other players?

  5. Because he's a PG. The assistants are talking to him during the game ("Did you see how Monta/Davis/etc. did ____? That's how it's done.").

People forget that point guard isn't like other positions. You can't get by on skill or athleticism alone. You have to learn all the plays and know what to look for because the NBA game is different than college, both the athletes and the rules.

  7. LOL. The crowd EXPLODES whenever JL touches the ball.

  8. He tied up a guy and didn't make a TO. Good enough for a garbage time debut.

  9. Actually, it recorded as a steal because they won the jumpball.

  10. living the dream. just awesome. just needs to stay aggressive and he'll be fine.

i love our country where a dude named Barack is president and an asian kid from harvard can make it to the NBA.

like kevin garnett said ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!

  11. its important not to rush his development. even though he's not getting a lot of minutes, a lot can be learned practicing with ellis and curry. once he learns the system he should be a very productive player off the bench.

  12. I agree. With Curry's ankle injury, though, Lin might be getting some decent bench minutes over the next week or so.

  13. This is the second time in less than a week that Curry sprained his ankle. But the coach will not let Jeremy Lin fill in any minutes at the point guard.

Instead, they make Monte Ellis play point and slide Dorell Wright who is a natural small forward into the shooting guard.

This might work for a few games, but eventually both players are going to get burned out.

They need to let Jeremy Lin play some meaningful minutes. The game was already decided in the 3rd with GS up by 20. That should have brought in JLin but no he was not called in until the last minute of the 4th.
