Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Reposting as I was 13 minutes early: I struggle as I see Jeremy playing the best ball of his life as he turns 34 and not even a sniff. Just a reminder, he is younger than Patty Mills (34), Patrick Beverly (34), George Hill (36), Goran Dragic (36). It’s sad that he is unable to get a look even with friends in high places, like Landry Fields, GM for the Hawks. But I’m happy that he is still a star in China and able to capitalize on his endorsements overseas. As I look at the Asian American basketball landscape, it still looks bare over a decade after Linsanity. Jeremy broke barriers and was a pioneer but it looks like we still have a long way to go..

Linsanity - 10 Year Anniversary

Can't believe it's been 10 years since Linsanity! Those 26 games were pure joy to watch. Seeing someone who looks like me dominate the NBA during that stint was just awe inspiring and incredible!!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

First off, I'd like to apologize for being absent for awhile. To be honest, it was super tough to watch Jeremy wait for that call that never came. Even during the playoffs, I'd watch and say Jeremy could have helped that team, and that team, and that team and.... Here is a list of some of the backup guards on all playoff teams:

Bucks:        Jeff Teague (32), Bryn Forbes (27)

Suns:          Cameron Payne (26), Langston Galloway (29)

Clips:           Reggie Jackson (31), Rajon Rondo (35)

Hawks:        Lou Williams (34), Brandon Goodwin (25)

Jazz:            Jordan Clarkson (28), Matt Thomas (26)

Nuggets:     Austin Rivers (28), Shaq Harrison (27)

Sixers:         George Hill (35)

Nets:            Tyler Johnson (29), Mike James (30)

Griz:            Tim Frazier (30)

Mavs:            Trey Burke (28)

Trailblazers:    No backup PG

Lakers:        Alex Caruso (27)

Knicks:        Derrick Rose (32) eventually started

Heat:            Goran Dragic (35) started a few games

Celtics:         N/A

Wiz:            Ish Smith (32)

Only a few of these names made more than even a minor impact in the playoffs. I'm so sure Jeremy could have made a significant impact on almost all of these playoff teams. His play during his G League stint was amazing and the best of his career. Shooting 51% 43% 88%, it was a joy to watch him play. From his pull up 3's, catch and shot, mid range elbow jumpers, to his floater game, he has put it all together. Jeremy had to make a decision for his future and he couldn't wait any longer. I'm just happy for him and his family and you can see the joy he has, being able to workout and play with his brothers. As he enters another chapter in his fairytale journey, we wish him nothing but the best, and continue to pray for him and his family. Happy 33rd Birthday Jeremy!

Jeremy Lin | Ep 85 | ALL THE SMOKE Full Episode | SHOWTIME Basketball

This is an amazing interview that encapsulates Jeremy's journey up until today. It's really long but is so captivating that you can't stop watching. He even shares for the first time, how he and Kobe went at it and the surprise ending. Matt Barnes does a great job with this interview as well as Captain Jack and their dialogue with Jeremy on racism is so productive. Another thing that really stood out was Jeremy mentioning he has spoken to coaches, GM's, super star players, and even Adam Silver about his situation..
